Two incumbents in lead for Oakton board

With 333 of 341 precincts counted, unofficial vote totals showed incumbents Ann Tennes and Joan DiLeonardi won re-election to the Oakton Community College board Tuesday, receiving 22,475 and 20,889 votes, respectively.

Poised to win the third open seat was challenger Kyle Frank, with 16,741 votes. Incumbent Eric Staley had 13,153 votes late Tuesday and newcomer Neil Meccia had 12,163 votes. Each seat has a six-year term.

Board member George Alexopoulos did not seek re-election and current student trustee Theresa Bashiri-Remetio, of Park Ridge, ran unopposed Tuesday for a two-year vacancy.
