Park Ridge resident Dr. Timothy Cahill, was presented with the annual Physician of the Year CARES Award from Holy Family Medical Center, where he currently serves as medical director.
Nominated by their peers, each year the award is presented to a physician who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to improve the community’s quality of life and reflects the core values of Holy Family Medical Center: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Service (CARES).
“Dr. Cahill is a very dedicated and compassionate doctor,” said Pam Bell, chief executive officer, Holy Family Medical Center. “He has a wonderful bedside manner with patients and their families, and always treats others with respect.”
Cahill has been on staff at Holy Family since 2000, and has served in many roles ranging from chairman of Clinical Performance Improvement, to medical staff president and medical director.
Founded in 1961, Holy Family Medical Center is a faith-based, nonprofit, Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH). Holy Family operates 105 LTACH beds and specializes in providing care for patients who are critically ill with complex conditions and must be hospitalized for an extended period of time. Holy Family Medical Center is the only specialty hospital campus in Illinois with comprehensive outpatient services including: same-day surgery, G.I. lab, medical imaging, Women’s Imaging Center, Wound Healing Center, Vein Center, sleep disorder treatment, a Pain Center, cardiology, and physical, occupational and speech therapies, and the Keys to Recovery substance abuse treatment program.
