"Flying 4 Kids gives families an opportunity to get outdoors and support their local park district," said Special Events Supervisor George Grey. "Families are encouraged to stop by Bock Park and picnic during the kite fly."

Participants can bring their own kite or build one with a kite making kit. Participants must bring a picnic lunch.

Pre-registration for this program is highly recommended. Registration is available at parkfun.com and District registration facilities. Cost is $5 for resident children and $7 for non-resident children. Each paid registrant will receive a kite kit to design and build a kite.
