Anderson leads Fremd win at Palatine

Breanna Anderson had a team-best 4 goals and Jen Teragawachi had 3 to help visiting Fremd in an 11-7 Mid-Suburban West triumph over Palatine on Tuesday.

Fremd (11-5, 5-1) led by 7-3 at the half before Palatine scored 3 straight to make it a 1-goal game in the third quarter, but the Vikes' defense down the stretch made the difference Fremd outscored Palatine 3-1 in the fourth quarter.

Rachel Chumbook led Palatine (11-7, 3-3) with 6 goals, and keeper Kim Butler stopped 9 shots.

Barrington 20, Conant 7: Catherine Byron scored a game-high 6 goals and Sam Gavars had 4 as the MSL West leaders stayed on top of the division with a road victory.

Lisa Danhauer, Kelly Meckert and Kayla Widdowson each had 2 goals for Barrington (14-1, 6-0).

Angela Skittone led Conant (4-11, 1-4) with 5 goals.

Schaumburg 8, Hoffman Estates 6: The Saxons (4-8, 3-3) held Hoffman Estates to 2 goals in the second half to earn an MSL West victory.
