Library Program Offers Tips for Avoiding Senior Scams
Tips for avoiding scams will be provided during “Beware of Scams” from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 23 in the Rasmussen South Room of the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. To register for this free program, call (847) 923-3347.
Schaumburg Police Det. Chris Nowicki will discuss scams primarily targeted at senior citizens. Additionally he will offer various methods to prevent becoming a victim of con artists. This program is co-sponsored by the library and the Support Our Seniors Council. Senior citizens and caregivers are encouraged to attend.
