• A 16-year-old girl from Elgin was arrested March 30 at Walmart on Randall Road and charged with retail theft and with resisting a police officer, according to a police report. She was later petitioned into juvenile court and released to her parents.

Kane County

• An estimated $1,000 damage was done to the exterior paint on two vehicles on the 14N800 block of Brier Hill Road near Hampshire after they were pelted with eggs between 6 p.m. April 1 and 7 a.m. April 2, according to a sheriff's report.

• A male caller phoned a resident of the 7N700 block of Route 47 near Maple Park at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, claiming to be a relative who won a trip to Mexico and now needed $2,500 to get out of jail there, according to a sheriff's report. The resident called authorities and no money changed hands.

West Dundee

• Anthony Milbratz, 48, of the 200 block of Circle Drive, Fox River Grove, was charged March 28 with aggravated battery, aggravated assault and with possession of drug paraphernalia, after officers said he beat up a 49-year-old man in the 600 block of Edwards Avenue, according to a police report. During the subsequent investigation, police said they also found a silver drug pipe. Milbratz's bail was set at $15,000 and he is due in court Thursday at the Kane County Judicial Center.
