Police officers and a witness administered first aid until paramedics arrived.

The News-Sun reports that the fifth-grader was able to return home earlier this week.

Barrington 220 School District spokesman Jeff Arnett says his recovery is going well and that the boy will likely get at-home tutoring until he is well enough to return to classes.
