Huntley 12, Grayslake Central 0: Junior Eric Luecht limited the Rams to 3 hits and struck out 6 in 5 innings, and senior Bryce Only tripled three times in 4 at-bats and drove in 4 runs to lead a 10-hit attack for the Red Raiders. Jake Wagner tripled and scored twice, Troy Cantu doubled and drove in 3 runs and Tyler Mindak and Colin Green each doubled and scored for Huntley (8-0, 2-0).

Jacobs 7, Johnsburg 3: Danny Vandewalker went 2-for-3 and drove in a run and Jon Berndt doubled and drove in a pair for Jacobs (7-1, 1-0) in a Fox Valley Conference crossover. Reilly Peltier earned the victory by limiting the Skyhawks to 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits. He struck out 7 and walked 4 in 5 innings.

Crystal Lake South 13, Woodstock 0: The Gators outhit the Blue Streaks 18-1 in this Fox Valley Conference crossover. Jake Bigos went 4-for-4 with a triple and 2 RBI, Garrett Bright was 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI and Max Meitzler doubled and drove in 3 for CL South (5-0, 2-0). Eric Schiller (1-0) tossed a 1-hit shutout, striking out 8 and walking 3.

St. Edward 11, Indian Creek 3: Jack Tierney drove in 3 runs and Ryan Nudd drove in a pair to lead St. Edward (5-0) to a nonconference win at Wing Park in Elgin. Jake LaFrenz went 2-for-3 and scored 3 runs and Jacob Koehring doubled and scored twice. Scott Palmer notched the win by tossing 6 innings of 3-hit ball with 6 strikeouts and 6 walks.

Hampshire 8, Lake Zurich 2: Dillon Kuhn held the hosts to 2 earned runs on 3 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings and the Whip-Purs outhit Lake Zurich 10-4 in a nonconference victory. Brandon Wescher had 3 hits and 3 RBI and Kuhn was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for Hampshire.

Notre Dame 7, Hampshire 3: Hampshire was outhit 12-7 and committed 3 errors in a nonconference loss in its second game of the day at Lake Zurich. Piotr Barnas walked and singled twice and Dillon Kuhn was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Whip-Purs (3-2). Andrew Brown took the loss after allowing 5 runs (3 earned) on 9 hits in 6 innings. He walked 3 and struck out 2.

Westminster swept: The Warriors dropped both ends of a split doubleheader in Elgin, losing to Aurora Christian 7-5 in the morning and 10-4 to Ottawa Marquette in the afternoon game. Luke Weston went the distance and absorbed the loss against Aurora Christian. He was touched for 7 runs (5 earned) on 10 hits, walked 2 and struck out 2. Frank Anguilo took the loss against Marquette, allowing 7 earned runs in 5 innings. Will Woodhouse, Chase Woods and Adam Greene each supplied 3 hits in the nightcap.
