Elgin CC sweeps Rock Valley
Sam Komel, Aaron Kovarik and Ryan Ford (2 RBI) each had doubles for Elgin Community College’s baseball team in an 8-7 win over Rock Valley Friday in Game 1 of a doubleheader in Elgin.
Bobby Thorson (2 RBI) and John Menken also had 2 hits each for the Spartans. Robert Sadowski was the winning pitcher in relief.
In Game 2, Komel had 2 hits as ECC won 8-5. Dominicki Tatone was the winning pitcher.
