Rolling Meadows man charged with sexual assault

By Barbara Vitello

An investigation by the Department of Children and Family Services led Rolling Meadows police to file criminal sexual assault charges against a 33-year-old Rolling Meadows man.

Peter Henneken appeared in Rolling Meadows bond court Friday where Cook County Judge Jill Cerone Marisie set his bail at $200,000.

His 16-year-old accuser -- who is acquainted with the defendant -- told her high school teacher and a counselor that Henneken assaulted her last October, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Catherine Levine. A subsequent investigation led to Henneken's arrest on Thursday.

Henneken, who has no other criminal background, must post $20,000 to be released from custody. He next appears in court on April 26.
