Cary needs forward-looking leader

During my tenure serving the residents of Cary as your trustee, I have had the pleasure of working with some very dedicated and forward-thinking individuals on the village board.

In Tuesday's election, the voters will elect a new mayor, and I urge those who care about our future to vote for Mark Kownick as our next mayor. While I have a sincere respect for Mark's opponent, Bruce Kaplan, I have seen Kaplan expend more energy over issues of the past than opportunities for our future.

Yes, we can learn from past mistakes, and we have, but we need to have a leader who is progressive, professional, and committed to the best interests of our entire community going forward. That person is Mark Kownick.
