Probation for Mount Prospect man charged with thefts

A Cook County judge sentenced a 29-year-old Mount Prospect man to 12 months probation this week in exchange for his guilty plea to stealing merchandise from drugstores in Arlington Heights and Mount Prospect.

Aristotle I. Jongko must also pay $704 in fines as a condition of his plea, court clerk's records show.

Arlington Heights officers arrested Jongko March 3 for stealing over-the-counter medication from two Walgreens stores. Security video showed he hid the items under his shirt, police said.

Earlier that same day, Mount Prospect police had arrested him for stealing from a CVS and a Walgreens store in Mount Prospect.
