‘America’s Got Talent’ coming to Rosemont in May

NBC’s popular TV series “America’s Got Talent” is coming to Rosemont this May for a live taping of its talent search before the new season debuts.

For free tickets to be in the studio audience at the taping, May 8 through 10 at Rosemont Theatre, visit http://on-camera-audiences.com/shows/Americas_Got_Talent.

The talent show has new judges this year. Supermodel, producer and TV host Heidi Klum and former Spice Girl Mel B are joining current judges Howard Stern and Howie Mandel. The show also is moving from New Jersey to Radio City Music Hall in New York’s Rockefeller Center for its eighth season.

The show premieres June 4 and will begin its regular hourlong Wednesday edition July 10. The new season will air live twice a week starting July 23 and July 24.

Contestants compete for a $1 million prize.

Several finalists in Suburban Chicago’s Got Talent participated in a mass audition earlier this year for the chance to appear before the judges.
