The process of applying and testing for the fire service is arduous, confusing, highly competitive and potentially expensive. Downers Grove fireman/paramedic TJ Aagesen has founded Kore Fire Service Consulting to help candidates navigate the way.
In order to help with the testing process, Kore Fire Service Consulting will launch its seminar: Comprehensive Preparation for Fire Service Testing. The one-day course will cover all aspects of the testing process including the written exam, physical ability test, oral interview, psychological examination and polygraph testing. Instruction will be provided by industry experts and fire service professionals
The program is open to anyone interested in investigating a career in the fire service or planning to begin testing and/or attending the fire academy and paramedic school. "This will be intensive preparation. The objective is to streamline the entire experience," said Aagesen. "The program will help candidates vying for what is a highly sought career. There are likely to be 200-2000 applicants for every opening in departments in Northern Illinois. This class is likely to give applicants an advantage."
