• A vandal shot a BB-gun pellet through a front window at a home on the 1000 block of Monroe Drive around 12:55 p.m. March 24. Damage was estimated at $2,500.

• Michael Shawn Nagel, 24, of the 2000 block of Willow Avenue, Hanover Park, was arrested around 1:30 p.m. March 23 on the 100 block of East Lake Street and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI. His court date is May 7.

• Victoria B. Fields, 18, of the 7000 block of Hemlock Street, Hanover Park, was arrested around 9:30 a.m. March 21 on the 700 block of West Schick Road and charged with local ordinance fighting. Her court date is April 26.

• Vandals broke a car windshield on the 300 block of Terrace Drive around 4:20 p.m. March 27. Damage was estimated at $50.

• Vandals slashed both driver's-side tires on a car in a driveway on the 400 block of Harvard Lane around 1:45 p.m. March 24. Damage was estimated at $200.

Des Plaines

• Vandals shot approximately 50 bottle rockets into the playground area at Dimucci Lowenberg Park, 400 N. Radcliffe Ave., around 5:45 a.m. March 23. Two deck panels on a playground structure were damaged by fire. Damage was estimated at $2,500.

• Burglars stole a laptop computer valued at $500 out of an unlocked 2008 Honda Civic on the 2100 block of South Webster Lane between 9 p.m. March 25 and 5:30 a.m. March 26.

• Thieves stole two tractor trailers out of a truck lot at 1801 Elmhurst Road between March 21 and 26.

• Thieves stole the catalytic converter from a 2003 Honda Element in a business lot at 1111 E. Touhy Ave. between 8:45 a.m. and noon March 27. Value was estimated at $300.

• Vandals used purple marker to write graffiti in a business lot, 750 Northwest Hwy., and on the median dividing sign at 1051 Northwest Hwy., and used yellow ink on a Dumpster at Flood Brothers, 1227 E. Brown St., and blue and teal spray paint on the parking garage at 648 Metropolitan Way around 10 a.m. March 28.

Hanover Park

• Darryl L. Williams, 46, of the 2200 block of Hassell, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 8:30 p.m. March 28 at Laurie and Kingsbury and charged with possession of marijuana.

• Hector D. Ceballos-Caldera, 18, of the 100 block of Seton Place, Streamwood, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. March 28 at Church and Sycamore and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

• Antonio L. Neal, 27, of the 2100 block of Leeward, Hanover Park, was arrested around 9:40 p.m. March 26 at his home and charged with cruelty to a dog.

• Manuel Oviedo, 21, of the 6700 block of Hickory, Hanover Park, was arrested around 5:50 p.m. March 23 on the 6900 block of Hickory and charged with resisting a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing identification.

• Andrew D. Stopka, 21, of the 300 block of Cotton Way, Schaumburg, was arrested around 6:35 p.m. March 22 at Irving Park and Wise roads and charged with local ordinance possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hoffman Estates

• Gregory P. Balazik, 38, of the 900 block of Westfield Lane, Schaumburg, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. March 14 at Mariano's Fresh Market, 2575 W. Golf Road, and charged with retail theft after he reportedly took two bottles of vodka valued at $50. His court date is April 2.

• Nicole Tackett, 26, of the 600 block of Deerfield Drive, Streamwood, was arrested around 5 a.m. March 12 at St. Alexius Medical Center, 1555 Barrington Road, and charged with battery after she reportedly threw a hospital bed remote that hit a nurse in the face. Her court date is April 26.

Mount Prospect

• Richard Michael Beudoin, 24, of the 700 block of West White Oak Street, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 12:05 a.m. March 23 at South Elmhurst Road and Oakton Street and charged with unlawful use of weapons (metal knuckles in his car). His court date is April 25.

• Vandals used pink paint to write graffiti on six telephone box covers on Northwest Highway between Forest Avenue and 1040 W. Northwest Hwy., and on an electrical box cover at Louis and Northwest Highway between March 22 and 25. Damage to the electrical box was estimated at $250.

Prospect Heights

• Vandals forced open the rear apartment building door on the 800 block of Piper Lane March 28, broke a laundry room window and the bathroom window at a vacant apartment.

Schaumburg

• Neil C. Salem, 19, of the 3900 block of Wisteria Court, Lake in the Hills, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. March 7 on the 1800 block of Kingston Lane and charged with criminal damage to property after he reportedly keyed a 2006 Chrysler sedan in a driveway on the 1800 block of Kingston Lane. According to reports, he was soliciting for a charity and was annoyed when the female resident would not contribute. He was seen on her home's security video scratching her car; an officer recognized him from the video as he walked at Norwell and Cape lanes. His court date is April 9.

• Mahmud M. Suwwan, 23, of the 300 block of Cambia Drive, Schaumburg, and Tyler A. Hinckley, 22, of the 1200 block of Mohawk Court, Schaumburg, were arrested around 11:45 p.m. March 9 at the Hoffman Estates Police Department, 411 W. Higgins Road, and charged with criminal defacement to property after they reportedly spray painted graffiti on an electrical box at West Schaumburg and South Braintree roads in Schaumburg. According to reports, they were also arrested and charged with criminal defacement in Roselle and Hoffman Estates. Their court date is April 8.

• Karla Hernandez, 20, of the 500 block of Clarendon, Addison; Yessenia Ramirez, 19, of the 4N400 block of Third Avenue, Addison; and Garri J. Rodriguez, 19, of the 100 block of South Ruga Court, Addison; were arrested around 9 a.m. March 18 at the police department, 1000 W. Schaumburg Road, and charged with possession of another's credit/debit card. Crystal A. Saengmany, 20, of the 0-100 block of Schoenbeck Road, Wheeling, was arrested and charged with theft of lost or mislaid property. According to reports, a woman's wallet fell out of her purse after she made a purchase at Q in Woodfield Mall around 5:30 p.m. March 6. Security videos show employee Saengmany picking up the wallet and taking it to a rear stockroom, where the other three offenders joined her. Minutes later, the three left Q and made a purchase at Urban Outfitters, reports said. Their court date is April 3.

• Christopher Michael Hon, 39, of the 1200 block of Valley Lake Drive, Schaumburg, was arrested around 9:50 a.m. March 19 at Target, 1235 E. Higgins Road, and charged with retail theft after he reportedly took miscellaneous household items. His court date is April 9.

• Maria Rodriguez, 23, of the 3300 block of West 59th Street, Chicago, was arrested around 1:30 p.m. March 24 at Macy's in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took two tops. Her court date is April 8.

• Alexia Michelle Wagner, 18, of the 6400 block of Parksleg Court, Lisle, and Jessica Lynn Holub, 18, of the 900 block of Brower Drive, Roselle, were arrested around 3:40 p.m. March 15 at Gilly Hicks in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after they reportedly took pajamas. Their court date is April 9.

• Ivonne Saucedo, 21, of the 900 block of North Lincoln Street, Addison, was arrested around 2:20 p.m. March 9 at Macy's in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took leggings. Her court date is April 9.

•Morgan Katherine Rodriguez, 20, of the 9100 block of West Oaks, Des Plaines, was arrested around 3:25 p.m. March 24 at J.C. Penney in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took tights, scarf and leggings. Her court date is April 9.

• Stephen Nguyen, 18, of the 1500 block of Jill Court, Glendale Heights, and Jon Vu Ngo, 18, of the 900 block of College Boulevard, Addison, were arrested around 6:50 p.m. March 9 at J.C. Penney in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after they reportedly took pairs of jeans. Their court date is April 9.

• Christine V. Orjales, 22, of the 2800 block of Monitor Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 2:10 p.m. March 23 at H & M in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took clothing and jewelry. Her court date is April 9.

• Julie A. Unti, 18, of the 1600 block of Ridge Drive, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 5:05 p.m. March 8 at Macy's in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took a top. Her court date is April 17.

• Kimani D. Unseld, 19, of the 1700 block of Queensbury Circle, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 6:35 p.m. March 15 at H & M in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after he reportedly took 14 shirts. His court date is April 17.

• Alexandria L. Vasey, 20, of the 2500 block of North Waterman Avenue, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. March 9 at Sears in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she reportedly took miscellaneous clothing. Her court date is April 3.

• Jose Oscar Suarez-Cornelio, 27, of the 1700 block of North Humboldt Boulevard, Chicago, was arrested around 12:35 p.m. March 14 at Kohl's, 410 E. Golf Road, and charged with retail theft after he reportedly took clothing. His court date is April 2.

Wheeling

• Thieves stole an injection pump and computer board from a New Holland Skid Steer at Pete's Perfection, 435 Wheeling Road, between March 18 and 26. Other parts were damaged during the theft, reports said. Loss was estimated at $5,000.

• Thieves stole a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse out of an apartment lot on the 800 block of Mark Lane while the victim left the engine was running to warm it up between 6:05 and 6:25 a.m. March 22. The car was involved in a hit-and-run accident with injury around 6:07 a.m. and was found with heavy front end damage in a lot at 100 Northgate Parkway.

• Thieves stole an empty plastic sandbox stored outside a townhouse on the 400 block of Pacific Court between Feb. 7 and March 24. Value was estimated at $105.

• Burglars stole a backpack out of an unlocked apartment on the 1400 block of Lennox Court between 8:10 and 8:25 p.m. March 20 while the female owner walked her dog around the parking lot. Value was estimated at $26.

• Burglars broke into a 1994 Acura Integra in a restaurant lot, 781 N. Milwaukee Ave., around 12:50 a.m. March 22 and stole a GPS, headset, and purse with cash and cosmetics. Loss was estimated at $800.

• A male customer at Old Court Inn, 374 N. Milwaukee Ave., stole a space heater, hand towel, and wash towel out of a guest room between March 17 and 22. A door key was also taken. Value was estimated at $185.

• Thieves stole a cellphone valued at $800 out of a man's backpack between 6:45 and 7 p.m. March 23. in a room serving as a dressing room for a show at the Weston Chicago Northshore Hotel, 601 N. Milwaukee Ave.
