New Palatine Park District committee to hold food drive
The first project of the Palatine Park District’s recently formed Service Committee will be a Breakfast of Champions Food Drive from Monday, April 1, through Sunday, April 14. Donations can be dropped off at the Community Center, Birchwood, Falcon Park and Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center. They’ll also be accpeted at the Free Healthy Living Expo from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Birchwood. Healthy donations are encouraged and will be delivered to the Palatine Township Food Pantry. Future committee projects could include environmental cleanup at Riemer Reservoir and working at the Roots Community Garden. For more information, visit palatineparks.org.
