Schaumburg resale shop to host ‘re-purposing’ event

The Kenneth Young Center Resale Shop, 1150 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, will host its first re-purposing event at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 3.

Customers will have the opportunity to view live demonstrations on how to renew, re-purpose and “upcycle” various household items. The goal of the event is threefold: to host a fun event that gives back to customers, to bring more community members into the resale shop and to raise money and awareness for the mental health and senior services provided by the Kenneth Young Center.

Although the event is not a fundraiser, Kenneth Young Center hopes that it will increase awareness and bring more first-time shoppers into the store. For more information, visit kennethyoung.org or call (847) 524-8800.
