St. Francis raps out 17 hits

Alyssa Fernandez, Aly Germanos and Carly Pasquale each had 3 hits to pace a 17-hit attack, and St. Francis beat Springside Chestnut (Pa.) 16-1 in Orlando. Maggie Remus tossed a 2-hitter for the Spartans (1-0).

Fenton 17, Chicago Academy 1:

Dana Fritz threw three hit-less innings and Kelly Kielbasa was 2-for-4 with a triple, 3 runs scored and an RBI for the Bison (1-0). Courtney Susmarski went 2-for-3 with a double, 2 runs scored, 2 RBI and 3 stolen bases and Diana Pikul tripled and scored twice.
