Years ago when he got a company car, Stu Miller traded in his wife's 1965 Mustang and his first 1967 442 to purchase her a 1970 Chevrolet Camaro.

While his newest 442 is Spanish Red, Miller's first 1967 Oldsmobile convertible was a pewter silver.

"Tri Power Automotive out of Libertyville helped since Day One in bringing this car to the next level," Miller said.

Miller rebuilt the 400-cubic-inch V-8 after buying the restored vehicle.

Miller is seeking vintage parts for anything on the car that is not in original condition.

About this Article

Stu Miller's Spanish Red 1967 Oldsmobile 442 wasn't purchased on a whim or haphazardly; it's a reminder of a previous GM muscle car the Buffalo Grove resident let go more than four decades ago. "I had a 442 as a 21-year-old kid and used it to go to school and a job in a grocery store," Miller said.
