Zengeler Cleaners Celebrates Long-Term Employees

Northbrook, IL, March 20, 2013: “Loyalty” sometimes seems like a lost art in today's world – especially when it comes to working for the same employer over a long period of time. That's not the case for Zengeler Cleaners, the Midwest's oldest and largest dry-cleaner, where the family owned company is celebrating its long-term employees. The company has 46 employees with at least 15 or more years of experience, combining for 1,138 years serving its customers.

“Zengeler Cleaners understands that our employees are our best assets,” noted Tom Zengeler, President of the historic company. “From one generation to another, our family has always believed we should treat employees the same way we wanted them to treat our best customers. As a result, we've been able to develop and maintain a dedicated staff of extremely talented and loyal employees. The following is the list of Zengeler Cleaners' 15-year club, listed in order of the number of years each employee has with the company (years of service in parentheses). Those with 20 or more years include Robert Zengeler, Sr. (62); Julio Garcia-Munoz (40); Michael Zengeler, Joanne Koutsovitis, Robert Zengeler, Jr. and Rachel Wiggins-Kolb (39); Tom Zengeler (36); Howard Early and Alyce Kingley (35); Castula Vergara (34); Joan Nebel (33); Mark Morris (30); Fernanda Estela and Joanne Lapinski (29); Nancy Brookman (28); Dennis Ori (27); Hector Alvarado and Dolores Alcantar (26); Reyna Toledo-Astudio and Juan Rivera (25); Jose Gil and Consuela Martinez (24); and, William Fisher (23).

Other Zengeler Cleaners employees with 15 or more years of service are Laurie Williams, Marty Levit, Pat Miller and Michael Hessing (19); Beth Amour, Matina Kousvelis, Claudia Galvez, Esperanza Galvez, Rosalba Perez, Enrique Tovar and Gloria Hernandez (18); Josefina Perez, Guadalupe Cardenas and Michael Maguire (17); James Karrenbauer, Bernice Broz and Karen Ehrich (16); and, Veronica Lorenzano, Carol Hartnett, Patricia Moreno, G.
