Local Progressives To Discuss The Sequestration… The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

The NWSOFA (NorthWest Suburbs Organizing For Action) Fiscal Issues/ Tax Reform & Jobs group is hosting a two hour discussion on the Sequestration and what it means to the National Budget, the National Debt, the Economy and most importantly, We The Citizens.

The group's leaders will explore the 2014 FY and beyond budget cuts. How those budget cuts will be divided among Federal agencies; what the agencies say could happen and what the various scenarios could present. Additional topics: what happens if the cuts remain, if a broader deal is reached, if departments are allowed to direct their cuts and if Congress might lift or pass certain CR's (Continuing Resolutions).

Come prepared to participate, to break into various discussion groups and ask tough questions. This will be a learning experience for everyone. Let's have some fun as we explore one of the most polarizing issues in the US politics today!

When: Tuesday, March 26, 2013 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
