BabyFest is Born at Gail Borden Library

Expectant and new parents will discover the latest babycare information when Gail Borden Library delivers BabyFest: Everything for Babies and Expectant Parents on Saturday, April 13 from 10 am to noon at the Main Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin, 60120.

Co-sponsored by the Elgin Sam's Club, the free festival will feature the latest baby information including community resources available to new parents, fun activities, refreshments and free samples. The library will give a presentation about early literacy practices and feature a “make and take” activity. Information about immunizations, car seat safety, safe sleeping, nutrition and radon and lead paint protection will be available for parents.

Representatives from these local agencies will provide information and be on hand to answer questions: All Our Kids Early Childhood Networks, Aunt Martha's Youth Service Center, Circle of Wise Women, DayOne, Easter Seals, Kane County Health Department, Sherman Hospital, Two Rivers Head Start, United Way of Elgin, VNA Health Care, Well Child Center and the YWCA Childcare Resource and Referral.
