Des Plaines Acting Mayor Sayad Lends A Hand Delivering Meals On Wheels

Des Plaines Acting Mayor Dick Sayad recently helped deliver meals for the Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association Meals On Wheels Program, which provides nutritional meals to homebound in Des Plaines, Niles and Park Ridge.

Accompanying Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association Driver Sam Grimes, a long time driver for the Meals On Wheels Program, Acting Mayor Sayad delivered ten meals in the immediate area.

“I was so very impressed with the Community Nutrition Network and Senior Services Association Meals On Wheels Program and Mr. Grimes, who is an extremely dedicated individual. He truly enjoys delivering meals to the program clients and they all respond positively to him. It was a rewarding experience. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to lend a hand and volunteer for this very worthwhile cause,” Acting Mayor Dick Sayad said.
