Sport Center hosts family fun night April 12

Spend a spring evening enjoying sports with family.

Schaumburg Park District's Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road, will host a family fun night from 6 to 8 p.m., April 12 in honor of Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play, which encourages kids to turn off the television and go out and play.

The event will offer opportunities for families to participate in a variety of structured, supervised sports, games and activities in the District's 110,000 square foot indoor facility. Activities will include basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, preschool tot lot, soccer, T-ball, softball and a gymnastics obstacle course.

Sport Center Family Fun Night is a Schaumburg CAN (Children – Activity – Nutrition) event. Schaumburg CAN's mission is to align the community around opportunities that build a foundation of healthy activity and nutrition for children.

Concessions will be available for purchase. The first 250 residents to register for the event will receive a gift at the door.

Event is free for residents and $5 for non-resident families.
