A fire caused extensive damage to a Carol Stream house Wednesday, but no one was hurt, officials said. Firefighters responded shortly before 10 a.m. to the two-story structure on the 400 block of N. Blackhawk Drive. The fire appeared to have started toward the rear of the home before spreading through a wall and into the attic, said Administrative Chief Perry Johnson of the Carol Stream Fire Protection District.
