Lombard Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire, No Injuries Reported

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the fire showing out of the second floor of the single family home. Residents were home at the time of the fire but were able to evacuate the home without incident or injuries.

According to Lombard Fire Department Battalion Chief, Art Peters, the damage is estimated to be about $100,000. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Lombard Fire Investigation Unit.

The Lombard Fire Department was assisted in mutual aid by the York Center Fire Protection District, Oak Brook and Villa Park Fire Departments.
