Sky invites ex-DePaul guard Quigley to camp

The Chicago Sky has signed 5-foot-10 guard Allie Quigley of DePaul to a training camp contract, team officials announced Wednesday.

Sky head coach and general manager Pokey Chatman said she has been impressed by Quigley's play at DePaul and, most recently, in Europe.

“Her ability to stretch the defense and score the ball has helped her lead her team, not only in scoring, but to it's first ever Euro-league Final 8 appearance,” Chatman said.

Quigley has played for four WNBA teams since she was selected by the Seattle Storm in the second round (22nd overall) of the 2008 WNBA Draft. After being released by the Storm, she signed with the Phoenix Mercury as a free agent on May 11, 2008. She played in 20 games for the Mercury over the 2008 and 2009 seasons, winning a WNBA championship with them in 2009. Quigley's WNBA career has included stops with the San Antonio Silver Stars and Indiana Fever, both in 2010, before returning to the Seattle Storm as a free agent in August 2011.

Quigley has played in 34 WNBA games during her career, shooting 44% from three-point range since 2009.

Quigley, a Joliet native, is currently playing in Slovakia with Good Angels Kosice, where she led her club to their first EuroLeague Final Eight, while averaging 16.1 points per game and ranking as the Euroleague's top three-point shooter (field goal percentage) connecting on 31 of 59 shots for 52.5 percent.
