Endorsement: Jackson for Glendale Heights president

  • Article
text size: AAA

Longtime Glendale Heights Village President Linda Jackson has helped change the public face of her community, from constructing several new public buildings to finding ways to calm what once was one of the most volatile political climates in DuPage County.

She faces challenges on two fronts this spring, one from former village Trustee Edward Pope and the other from former Queen Bee Elementary District 16 school board member Marilyn Liwanag. Both suggest the village needs new blood after Jackson's 12-year tenure as president, but neither presents a compelling case for what they would do differently to keep the village moving on the right track.

Jackson says her commitment to the job and the village have not waned. Given that commitment, she's earned one more term as president.
