Elgin Theatre Co. auditioning two leads for ‘Princess Diana, the Musical’

The Elgin Theatre Company will hold special auditions, by appointment only, for two parts in its next production, “Princess Diana, the Musical.” They will begin interviewing starting immediately for the roles of Princess Diana and Prince Charles only.

The requirements for these two parts are as follows:

Ÿ Princess Diana: female 5 feet 8 or 9 inches tall, no heels, 120 to 130 lbs.; musical range: low G below middle C to high octave above plus 1/3. You must play age ranges from 17 to 35.

Ÿ Prince Charles: stage age about 30, 6 feet tall, musical range: tenor.

The rehearsal schedule, staring March 17, for these two parts will be Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings.

Production dates for “Princess Diana, the Musical” will be 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays, June 14-30.
