Big Ten Women’s Basketball comes to Sears Centre Arena March 7-10

The Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament will be contested at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates from Thursday to Sunday, March 7-10, making its first appearance in Illinois. Featuring 11 games over four days, the tournament champion will earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. In addition to the games, the organizing committee has planned several free basketball themed fan events during tournament week.

Individual session tickets are $15 and are available at www.ChicagoMarchIsOn.com or by calling (888) SEARS-TIX or at the KIA Box Office at the Sears Centre Arena.

On Friday, March 8, fans are invited to kick off tournament week with a massive bonfire outside the arena including music, warm beverages and plenty of seating.

Saturday March 9, Regional favorites 7th Heaven will perform live at Pinstripes (adjacent to Sears Centre Arena) a 40,000-square-foot dining and entertainment venue. Guests can also take advantage of Pinstripes bocce and bowling areas, outdoor heated patio and fire pit, while sampling Big Ten inspired food items and unique drinks.

Open on Saturday and Sunday from 2-6 p.m., The Skills and Thrills Fan Camp is the ultimate Big Ten basketball fan experience located in a climate controlled tent outside the arena. Kids of all ages and skill levels can immerse themselves in the excitement of Big Ten basketball, participating in over 15 interactive exhibits including layup, free throw and spot shooting stations with full size and mini-hoops. Admission is free with a ticket to any game throughout the tournament.

On Saturday March 9, fans are invited to meet past Big Ten student-athletes at the B1G Autograph Session. Scheduled to appear include Jessica Davenport, Kenny Battle, Kendall Gill, Mateen Cleaves, and Ron Dayne. Autographs are free with a Saturday game ticket and include a limited-edition autograph card. The autograph session commences after the first game of the day.

Sunday, March 10, at 1 p.m., the Championship Pep Rally will be held with participating band and cheerleader performances.
