College of DuPage Transfers Perform as Well as Native University of Illinois Students

The average COD 2009 cohort's graduation rate from UIUC was 81 percent, better than the average graduation rate of those who transferred to UIUC from other community colleges and other institutions.

“This is further hard evidence that students who begin their academic careers at College of DuPage go on to be just as successful as those who start at four-year institutions,” said College of DuPage President Dr. Robert. L. Breuder. “The only difference is that our students graduate with less debt by tens of thousands of dollars.”

Students at COD also have the option of participating in one of twelve 3+1 programs, allowing them to earn an entire bachelor's degree on the COD campus from one of the College's partner Universities. On average, a student can earn an entire bachelor's degree through the 3+1 program for less than $34,000.
