This was taken in my back yard. I have been living on the Fox River in Carpentersville for about 6 years now, and these eagles roost out here just outside my window sometimes. I was recently on the news program Chicago Tonight, on Channel 11 featuring the eagles out here. I took this shot late in the afternoon, with the sun just about to set.

I was lucky enough to capture an altercation between two American Tree Sparrows yesterday in my Naperville back yard.

Dori Eldridge of Naperville

This photo was taken in Tetons National Park Wyoming of Mount Moran. We arrived well before sunrise but found that there were numerous photographers already set up. I managed to find a spot (none were bad), set up my tripod and started shooting. In the silence of the morning all that could be heard was the click, click of shutters. After I had taken as many photos as I wanted, I pulled back behind all the photographers and was struck by the image of the now lit up Mt Moran and the row of photographers in silhouette.

Donna Sizemore of Warrenville

I was amazed how beautiful the Arboretum was despite the bare tree branches. They congregated gracefully in groups here and there, like a bunch of ladies socializing after an afternoon tea party.

Lena Conway of Naperville
