90 schools compete in Jazz in the Meadows festival

  • Wheeling High School's jazz band 1, directed by Brian Logan, won Class 3A at Jazz in the Meadows Feb. 23 at Rolling Meadows High School. As well, two Wheeling musicians also tied for best soloist in Class 3A -- trombonist Cesar Mendoza and David Robertson, trumpet.

Another year, another great day of music at Jazz in the Meadows. More than 90 schools competed in the daylong jazz festival held for 28 years at Rolling Meadows High School.
