Forest Estates home in Palatine

This beautiful family home only recently made its debut to the market, offering an abundance of space and nice touches that make it unique and special.

A brick and siding colonial-style home, it has a large finished basement that now contains a pool table, weight room and an extra television viewing area for the kids, as well as a laundry room with table for folding, shelves and a clothes chute connecting to the upstairs bedrooms (a necessity with a large family).

The main level features lots of recently refinished hardwood floors in the foyer, kitchen, eating area and the living and dining rooms. Only the large family room is carpeted. The kitchen has a wood-burning fireplace, closet pantry, breakfast bar, stainless steel range and dishwasher and granite countertops. The dining room features a cozy window seat, while the family room is the site of the home’s second fireplace.

The five upstairs bedrooms are all carpeted. The master suite boasts a vaulted ceiling and a whirlpool.

There are even large, comfortable outdoor living spaces on this very private (thanks to 20 mature trees), larger-than-normal corner lot. A new 8-by-12-foot treehouse, complete with a front porch, adds even more interest and fun to the property.
