League of Women Voters puts candidates front, center at Elgin forums

The League of Women Voters of the Elgin Area will hold candidate forums at the Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin.

Bring your questions to these forums, which are open to the public and held in the library community rooms.

No registration is necessary to attend. The forums are sponsored by the LWV of the Elgin Area and the Gail Borden Public Library. Additional information can be found at lwvelginarea.org.

The forum featuring the candidates for the primary election of the Elgin City Council’s 2-year seats will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24.

Candidates running in the general election for the Gail Borden Public Library board and Elgin Township board have been invited to the forum on Thursday, March 14, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The forum featuring the candidates running in the general election for the five open Elgin City Council seats for 4-year and 2-year terms will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 24.

Candidates running in the general election for the Elgin Area School District U-46 board and the Elgin Community College board have been invited to the forum set for 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 28.
