Police find marijuana during search of Antioch home

An Antioch man faces drug charges after police found marijuana during a search of his home, authorities said Wednesday.

Taylor Bedrosian, 21, of the 40000 block of Black Oak Avenue, could be sentenced to seven years in prison if he is convicted on possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver charges.

Antioch Police Chief Craig Somerville said an investigation into drug activity in the village revealed Bedrosian as a potential dealer of marijuana. Officers armed with a search warrant went to Bedrosian’s house at 4:01 p.m. on Feb. 15, Somerville said.

Court records show police found about 778 grams of marijuana during the search.

Somerville said $12,466 in cash was also seized under the Drug Asset Forfeiture Act.

Bedrosian was taken to Lake County bond court, where he was released on a recognizance bond, records show. He is due back in front of Judge James Booras on March 5.
