Schaumburg power loss linked to transformer

A transformer blew early Monday evening, knocking out the power in southwest Schaumburg for about half an hour.

Schaumburg police directed traffic at two intersections affected by the outage -- Wise and Springinsguth roads and Schaumburg Road and Braintree Drive.
