Townships provide services to all our residents and are complimentary too not duplicative of municipalities. I am very proud of the broad range of services the Township provides to all of our residents.What should be the primary responsibility of township government?The role of Township government is to provide or compliment services need in our community. The role in different in every community. In Lake Villa Township we provide sports facilities for over 3,000 participants in organized youth sports participating in Football, baseball, soccer and iceless hockey. We run a senior transportation service, we host senior events, provide community facilities including parks, beaches, community rooms. We host an annual Job far for over 30 employers and 1,000 participants. This in addition to maintaining and rebuilding over 57 miles of roads and valuing over 13,000 parcels of land.In these hard economic times, can you identify some township expenses/programs that could be trimmed or eliminated to reduce the tax burden?In theses hard economic times our community relies on Townships more than ever. Our demand for our food pantry has tripled our demand for emergence assistance and general assistance has skyrocketed. The demand for affordable transportation and youth programs has also increased. If anything people need Township more in theses hard economic times.What specific background or experience do you bring that makes you the best qualified candidate to serve as an elected official in the township?My education in law and accounting provides a sound base complimented with my lifelong commitment to our community gives me a unique insight on what the need of our community are and how to meet those needs.
