Bar association offers free call-in legal advice

By Barbara Vitello

Attorneys with the Chicago Bar Association will dispense free legal advice from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday as part of the CBA's Call-A-Lawyer program.

Callers to (312) 554-2001 will receive tips on how to handle such legal issues as divorce and child custody; personal injury; drafting wills and probate; foreclosure defense, landlord-tenant issues and claims of wrongful termination and discrimination.

Those who need additional legal assistance or want to hire a lawyer can be referred to the CBA's lawyer referral service.

Founded in 1874, the Chicago Bar Association is the second largest bar group in the state and among the oldest in the nation.
