Daily Herald report

Two more Northwest suburban Blockbuster video stores -- in Palatine and Buffalo Grove -- will soon close under Dish Network's plan to shutter 300 locations. The Palatine store at 720 W. Euclid Ave. will close Sunday, an employee said, and some, but not much, inventory remains in its liquidation sale. Another Blockbuster on Northwest Highway in Palatine closed years ago. The Buffalo Grove location at 686 S. Buffalo Grove Road also is holding a liquidation sale to prepare for its March 24 closing.
