St. Charles North Drill Teams takes high honors at invitational

The St. Charles North Varsity Drill Team took home high honors at the Batavia High School Team Dance Illinois invitational competition on February 10, 2013. The girls competed in the AAA Division where they earned three first-place trophies for their open pom, open dance and lyrical dance categories. The varsity team is coached by Nancy Franson-Prentiss.

The varsity drill team also earned the Technical Excellence Award and Artistic Excellence Award which is presented to the team that displays the highest technical profieciency and highest artistic proficiency in the competition for their open dance routine choreographed by Senior Monique Perdue, Jamie Beaulieu and Megan Spaniol.

The junior varsity team had an excellent day as well, earning three first-place trophies in their lyrical dance, open pom and open dance routines. The junior varsity team is coached by Colleen Kobler.

Both teams will compete at the TDI State Championship in Peoria, IL at the Civic Center on March 3, 2013.
