Aurora Central pulls regional surprise

Aurora Central Catholic 71, St. Joseph 66: The 11th-seeded Chargers (14-14) advanced to the St. Joseph regional title game by knocking off the hosts.

With three minutes left in the second quarter, ACC trailed 23-17. They then went on a 17-0 run to take an 11-point lead into halftime.

Lisa Rodriguez came back from a sprained ankle to score 20 for the Chargers while Gabi Alfaro netted a career-high 19. Alex DeCraene scored 17, as she connected on four of her five three-pointers.

The Chargers will play No. 3 seed Nazareth Thursday night.
