Submitted by St. Catherine of Siena

In the mood for an Italian dinner while also supporting a good cause?

The St. Catherine of Siena Church Youth Mission Team is hosting its second annual Italian dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the St. Catherine of Siena School gym, 845 W. Main St. in West Dundee.

Enjoy an Italian dinner with family and friends and help support the Youth Mission Team and its upcoming trip to the Twin Cities, Minn., in June.

Italian specialties available include a choice of mostaccioli and meatballs, garlic bread, salad, brownie and beverage, or a meatball sub sandwich with salad, brownie and beverage. Cost is $10 for adults 18 and older, or $5 for youth ages 17 and younger. Carryout dinners also will be available.

In addition to the Italian dinner, guests will be able to view a slideshow depicting a variety of photos from past youth ministry mission trips. To raise additional funds, a 50/50 raffle and wine raffle will also be available.

Proceeds from the Italian dinner will help raise funds to enable the youth ministry’s 28 teens and 10 adult chaperones to attend their upcoming summer mission trip.

The Youth Mission Team has supported volunteering endeavors for the past eight years through the Catholic Heart Work Camp organization. Last year, 26 teens and six adult chaperones served the St. Louis, Mo., community joining more than 300 teens from neighboring states to help the elderly.
