Carmel Catholic wins Comcast's Battle of the Fans 'Football Final' competition

The Carmel Catholic “Crazy Corsairs” student section has been selected as Comcast's 2012 Battle of the Fans Football Champion.

Carmel earned 41-percent of the vote during a recent poll run on the CN100 website to determine the top student section featured on Game of the Week during the 2012 football season. The school's fans were selected for the competition based their tremendous energy and enthusiasm shown to the CN100 cameras.

As a testament to its school spirit, Carmel will receive a special Battle of the Fans championship banner to display proudly. The banner will be presented at a future time.

Here is the final order of finish in this year's voting:

• Carmel Catholic

• Neuqua Valley

• Nazareth Academy

• Palatine

• Glenbard West

• Lake Forest High School

• Providence Catholic

• Lincoln-Way East
