Hoffman Estates mayor lands national leadership role
Hoffman Estates Mayor William McLeod recently was appointed to the National League of Cities' First Tier Suburbs Council Steering Committee.
"Being appointed to the NLC's First Tier Suburbs Council Steering Committee gives our village the platform to make certain that our unique concerns and needs are heard on a national level when it comes to the formulation of policies that impact our community," McLeod said in a statement. "I am grateful for the opportunity, and look forward to serving Hoffman Estates in this capacity."
The National League of Cities is a resource and advocate for 19,000 cities, towns and villages across the nation. The First Tier Suburbs Council represents developing suburbs and rural areas outside of central cities. It helps inform the National League of Cities and state municipal leagues about issues and policies of interest to the suburbs.
