BHS Varsity Dance Team Advances to Semi-Finals in Pom at UDA Nationals

The Batavia Varsity Dance Team came in 10th in Pom and 14th in Hip-Hop and advanced to the semi-finals in Pom when they performed at UDA Nationals in the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando on Saturday, Feb 2. This is the first time Batavia High School has advanced in Pom at Nationals. Congratulations, Varsity Dance Team.

The 2012-13 Varsity dance team members are: Marissa Bode (Captain), Abby Wilson (Captain), Jacqueline Mirski (Manager), Kalah Anderson, Claire Carlson, Allison Hartmann, Chandler Hrack, Sarah Jacobson, Sona Kaul, Ryanne Marks, Cassie Mirski, Lexy Mueller, Katelyn Phillips, Caitlin Smith, Samantha Spengler, Melanie Steffen and Amber Tousana. The Varsity coach is Angie Fuqua.

Batavia will be hosting its regional TDI Dance Classic "Love to Dance" competition, this coming Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Batavia High School. Seventy-six teams will be competing with the first performance starting at 9:20a.m. and last performance ending around 4pm followed by awards.
