Des Plaines promotes two police officers

Two members of the Des Plaines Police Department were promoted at Monday's city council meeting.

Police Cmdr. Paul Burger was promoted to deputy chief of operational services and Sgt. Chester Zaprzalka was promoted to commander of support services. City Clerk Gloria Ludwig issued the oaths in the presence of city aldermen.
