University of Illinois redshirt freshman Will Brewster (Grayslake Central) competed in the 2013 USA Cross Country Championships on Saturday, finishing 10th in a field of 72 runners. The 8K race was held at Forest Park, Mo.

"Will had a great run," volunteer coach Michael Allio said of the U of I website. "He got in a good position early. Then the pack moved, he responded well and had a great kick left when it came time to finish. It was an overall impressive performance."
