Hire a vet to protect schools

text size: AAA

There is a lot of discussion about how much additional security is needed in schools to protect our children from recent tragedies.

Have the police present? Arm and train the teachers?

My suggestion is hire a returning veteran. They need a job and benefits and are already highly skilled in weapons and protection.

It would be good for the vet, the community and the kids. Win, win, win.

I'm guessing, but I would think the cost would approximate that of a new teacher.
