Pay for pensions, then for roads

I was outraged when I read in the Jan. 26 Soapbox that your editors support the use of $3.65 million in state funds for road projects. Have you forgotten that our state still owes our pension funds millions of dollars? Years of diverting pension payments to pay for road projects is what got us into this mess. We need meet our current obligations before we fund any new projects.
